The Jymmye Experience
Humble Beginnings
"The Experience” You know the feeling you get when you walk into your Grandmother’s or your favorite aunt’s house. It’s a welcoming feeling of love and acceptance where you can sit on the couch, kick off your shoes and be totally care free. Upon entering the room you know you are loved. You are greeted with a smile, your ideas are heard and dreams are encouraged, that’s Jymmye’s Place. No, it’s not a place, it’s an Experience. Jymmye’s, the place where you can bring your ideas and we turn them into something extraordinary, something to remember for years to come. It’s the Elegance, Hospitality, and Grace of Jymmye’s Place.
My Grandmother’s house was that place. Her name was James Etta Gilliam, Jymmye to her family and friends. She was a God-fearing lady that was always authentic and truthful. She was very particular about her appearance, in fact, she was known for her lady like meticulous style. She had class, an elegant style, hospitality and grace that showed up in everything she did. Cooking, sewing, and encouraging people were a few of her specialties. She could take flour, sugar, and milk and make the best cake ever, and turn scraps of fabric into an outfit that was admired by all. We wanted others to have that Experience. So we opened a welcoming place where you can bring your event ideas and be amazed as we turn them into something extraordinary, something to remember for years to come. It’s the Elegance, Hospitality, and Grace of Jymmye’s Place.
